In this video I cover off how to do a regular service on a Mercury or tohatsu 15hp or 18hp 2 stroke outboard. Any idea how to change from 24v to 12v with this controller?
Please tell me about how it behaves when it reaches the set temperature-wil it maintain set temp
BUY a kerosene kerosun style instead easy quiet just light outside then move indoor and turn off outside just make sure the wick is completly out before you walk away, blow on it. these work great.
These heaters should be outlawed until they can produce a working heater controller I bought 2 diff brand heaters junk bought the knob junk bought all new mother f er board still nothing, dont waste your money, these companies are running a ponzi, also pluged into wall, running car, also seperate battery and charger, charger by its self. junk.
Mate the music was ok, don't worry about the haters. I do have a question though. The plastic nut is broken on my bathroom and the faucet is leaking. Are there o-rings on the part that you slip the faucet over?
Thanks mate, Yes from memory there is a seal in the faucet which makes it a bit tougher to remove. Not sure if its a serviceable piece - i guess it depends on how good your local plumbing retailer is. The nut doesn't provide sealing - it more stops the movement - but if its able to move maybe it will damage the seals over time.
Ok so I’m not the only one that noticed the rotary knob isn’t calibrated for shit when you just want to turn it up one click it’ll jump 4-5 speed settings really quick it becomes annoying smh
Great video. Same as you I've just fitted 120mm $10 computer fan and jt works a treat fridge now down to 1C overnight compared to 8C. One difference between current van fridge and previous van is how gas flue is plumbed. Old fridge it has external vent like yours so hot exhaust goes straight outside, never had issues with that fridge in mild temperatures <25C. Current fridge has hot exhaust going into top cavity where poor fridge is trying vent its hot air. . Very poor design and is primary reason fridge doesn't work very well, friends campervan is same. Next mod will be new flue attachment to vent it outside. With flue vented correctly shouldn't need fan overnite. For accurate temperature readings of food items while testing I use glass water and place probe in that.
oh wow that flue sounds like a terrible design, wonder why they decided that was a good idea. Glad the fan works, and hopefully you dont need it with the flue sorted, i guess its always good to have as a backup or on really warm nights where the air doesnt circulate itself.
Anyone know what error code E-10 means?
E10 means the heater is trying to start but cant. Did you prime your lines? if not either prime them or run the heater 2 or 3 times until the fuel gets to the heater.
When I replaced mine with a simple controller, it wouldn't work & flashed the 7th lights.
E07 is communication error (see in the description for a full list). I'd say your controller is not compatible with your heater ecu board. You'll need to replace the control board inside the heater to make it compatible. I'm guessing your old controller, which it may look the same as mine, might be the featureless one they bought out.
@berko79 thanks. Which controller board do I buy?
Funny how I can't do any setting or menu unless the heater is on and running.
I can't see H on or off when I press the left bottom button then the R bottom button?
What type of distance are ppl getting with these remotes?
November 14, 24. This video saved me from either sweating or freezing to death lol. Thanks bro
haha no worries, glad to help!
Does anyone know how to change from simple Hz adjustment to actual temperature adjustment. I got mine changed over to Hz somehow and I can only adjust the power output with the knob. It used to rev up and slow down automatically with temperature. I want to set it back the way it used to be, but don't know how to do it.
How do you pair the remote control? I have a new or a extra control panel, but only one remote.
You press the On and OK until it says connecting on the remote then hold the right arrow down and it will connect. The issue is i'm pretty sure you can only have one remote connected at a time so you may need to do this every use of the heater if you are sharing a remote with 2 heaters.
UPPER LEFT BUTTON AND LOWER RT ARROW. PRIMES PUMP. 😮😊😅🎉❤
Thanks for the tip
Is the dial adjusting the hertz .
Both the hertz and the fan speed. Well the fan speed is tied to the hertz of the pump so if one changes the other has to
Helloo boss ku,apa ada yang jual sperpak mesin mercury di wilayah Indonesia.? Saya butu spul mesin mercury 15 pk
that strange 240V option preventing 12V works well for me. I have a socket that is powered by shore power (not inverter) and that means on shore power the heater works from 240V and if not on shore power it switches to 12V which is exactly what I want
yes this must be why its designed that way :)

Why does my heater constantly run on max fan speed even though I have it set to the lowest temperature possible?
hmm that doesnt sound right. They don't actually target set temperature as you would hope/expect. Saying that turning the temp lower usually slows the fan down. I wonder if you maybe have a thermostat issue or something that makes the heater think its very cold and needs to warm things up.
what is the lowest pump freqquency you can set in service mode? is that 0,8HZ?
I bought this basic rotary controller based iff this video and happy to say it works as advertised. Much simpler to use than the digital version that came with the heater originally
Yeah I agree, often simple is the easiest/best :)
😊❤
Cant see a dang thing
7:31 what is the blower / heater outlet temp in low and hi setting?? Is the heating power allso reduced or just fan speed?? Is the air temp 30c or 80c in low setting??
Rotory dial is for the fuel pump speed not so much the fan itself, fan does eventually slow a bit according to fuel input
Nice video........ Thanks
The stupid background music is too loud. Thanks for your video though
Please, how to pair the digital remote to the controller?
press and hold the up arrow until you get "HFA" on the screen. Then press the off button on the remote while HFA is displayed.
@@berko79 Thank you my friend.
Please, how to pair the digital remote to the controller?
my blue controller after 2 years died, or the heater died, either way its totally dead. all fuses checked ect. brought a new blue controller, still nothing... question. if i buy the motherborad / controller combo, do you think that will work.
Buying both will make sure it works. You could also gamble with just buying the controller - just make sure the plug is the same and it should work. Question then is, where is the failure: in the board or in the controller? No real easy way to find out unless you can borrow a controller which you know works.
@@berko79 yeah i brought a replacment controller, sadly it didn't work so ive ordered a controller with a motherborad this time, fingerscrossed it works... there is deffinetly power running to it, as i live in an off grid van and everything ells, works fine. battery is fine ect.
@@jaaayg2791 Yeah it should work, sounds like you had a motherboard go to me. Even if you have low voltage you'll get an error code. So im pretty sure the motherboard should solve it
@@berko79 sweet ! ill come back here an let you's know if its solved when i replace it
The music was dreadful and unnecessary, other than that a good video.
You didn’t show me the tool you used to tighten it at the end, you have to show the camera and tell us where we can get it from. I have no idea
I know this is a few years old but just to point out you've put the impellor on incorrectly. Vanes/blades should be folded back in the opposite direction. Your pump will not operate properly and you will most likely break off the rubber vanes in a short time which could then block the water passage as well.
Great videos... now just gotta do another video on the plumbing 😅 I wanna know if you have a mixer setup for shower or if you just have the temp set for ideal shower temperature. If you have a mixer, is it one pump from the tank, then teed off to feed the water heater and straight to cold taps? So one water pump to supply your whole system?
Thats correct, I have both hot and cold and mix. Yes the piping is like you mentioned with the hot water supply t'd off the cold line. The one thing you do need to do is put a one way valve just before the heater to stop the hot water flowing backwards into the cold pipe.
It’s been a while since you did this, but from my experience with the same type of van with the vinyl stone guard on the front is watch that like a hawk man. As soon as it gets a hole in it get rid of it. There’s padding under it that will wick moisture and it will find its way behind the metal into the wood frame. As the vinyl ages it will pull away from the sealing compound on it and again moisture will get in. I’d replace the front where the vinyl is with checker plate. And the best stuff I’ve found to sealing edges, j mould, etc is bostik v4. Pure silicone that has huge flex and as it’s not an adhesive if you want to remove the j mould for maintenance reasons it’s a whole lot easier.
Such a shame the music drowned out what you were saying. Maybe upload it again without the music.
It is quite possible the heater control is “quirky” as a result of switching the negative instead of the positive as done in the wiring diagram.
Does anyone know how to decrease the fan speed? Its stucked on MAX. please. Thank you
press down on the remote or the controller, as the hz lowers so does the fan. If yours doesnt I suspect you have issues with your heater.
How do you change the elevation setting ? Please !
Hi, I have the same unit and in Automatic, when I set the desired temperature, the heater won't stop when it reaches the temperature? The unit is in the room (i guess it is the thermostat) but what can I do ?
Can you use a remote
no, these controllers dont support remotes
@@berko79 thanks for that information
Hey mate, did you re-use the metal corners? or were they replaced? Not the rubber seal - i mean the part that caps the corner that gets screwed in. I can't find any info on where to buy them, let alone what they are called, so i'm curious if you just cleaned your existing ones up, or replaced them.
Hi Mate, yeah I reused this. Unless you really ruin it when removing it I wouldnt bother replacing it. You just need to make sure you spend some time removing the old silicon. If you do need to buy it its called "J Mould" and i think most caravan repair shops should sell it. Cheers.
And what if you don’t want the timer to shut off that you wanna be able to control that like safer example if you’re using it in a greenhouse I don’t want the heater to go out whenever I want to be able to control when to put it on and off how then do you have the settings in that situation?
Yeah it is the switch that gives me a headache. The reason I don’t want to run the 240v is due to needing to turn on the inverter which draws more wattage. But I guess it would heat up quicker. Thank you for the explanation on the circuit drawing…I will have to watch a few times:))
You don't show how to change the temp from Celsius to Fahrenheit
Unfortunately you can't on my controller. I've heard of some changing back to the imperial era by pushing up and down arrows at the same time, you could try that.
Hey man, I’m desperately trying to find replacement seals for what you unscrewed Amy ideas on where to buy would be amazing!
These are called J moulds. If you do a google a few stores should show up. Sorry it won't let me link in the comments.
Thanks @berko79 that’s a great help! So hard to find in the uk!
The only difficult/abnormal part of the install is the wiring..... Can't believe you didn't show that.......thumbs down
put another vid up a couple of months back on the wiring mate - check that out and yell out if any questions.
Your description of connector was impossible to see
Do you know, is possible to use heater only as fan? In summer, for air circulation and cooling. Thank you.
Not with the controllers that come with them. They will switch off automatically if they dont get hot. Something like afterburner might be able to just trigger the fan.
